Terms And Conditions

Governing Documents

This Terms and Conditions Form, governs the relationship between Cameroon Safari LLC (“Cameroon Safari”) and you, the tour participant.

Cameroon Safari tours are designed for adults (over 21) who are lively, inquisitive, and eager to broaden their cultural and intellectual horizons. Each tour participant is expected to enjoy traveling and to be flexible with respect to the potential changes that can occur when traveling in Africa. Each tour participant is responsible for ensuring he or she is in sufficiently good health and suitable for the tour selected. If you have any questions about your ability to safely and fully participate in the tour, please discuss these with your doctor. Cameroon Safari reserves the right to decline to accept any person as a participant of the tour should it judge that person not suitable for participation.

Cameroon Safari also reserves the right to require a tour participant to withdraw from a tour in progress, at any time, when such action is determined by Cameroon Safari to be in the best interests of the health, safety or general welfare of the tour participant or group concerned. If a medical condition forces you to leave the tour, or Cameroon Safari requires you to withdraw from a tour in progress, you will be responsible for all costs resulting from your early departure and will not receive a refund of any unused tour services.

Each tour participant is responsible for his or her own medical expenses, before, during and after the tour.

Cameroon Safari requires that each tour participant purchases comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering personal accidents, medical and emergency travel expenses, personal effects, and any curtailment or cancellation associated with the tour.

Tour Reservations

For all inquiries for travel outside of 11 weeks, Cameroon Safari will hold a reservation and price quote (subject to the terms described below) for 7 days. In the event that Cameroon Safari receives a new reservation request, Cameroon Safari reserves the right to request the release of your space, or alternatively the required 20% non-refundable deposit to be paid to confirm the reservation.

Booking Procedure

A non-refundable deposit of 20%, a signed Terms and Conditions Form, and a signed Release, Assumption of All Risk and Compulsory Arbitration Agreement are required at the time each tour participant signs up for a tour, and is to be paid no later than 10 weeks before travel.

Payment for the Tour

The deposit must be paid to confirm the booking. Full payment for the tour is required at least 8 weeks prior to departure. In all cases, time shall be of the essence. If final payment is not made timely, the booking will cancel automatically with the applicable cancellation policies imposed.

Basis of Rates

Quoted tour rates are based on the current rate of exchange and current third-party vendor costs. Cameroon Safari does its best to maintain the listed prices, however, the rates quoted are subject to change in the event of an increase in foreign exchange rates or an increase in third-party vendor costs passed on to Cameroon Safari through the tour operator and beyond its control. Any such changes will be charged to the tour participant and payment is due no later than 7 days after written notification of the additional charges has been received. Cameroon Safari accepts the risk of any increase in foreign exchange rates or third-party vendor costs four weeks prior to departure through to the tour, and no additional changes to the rate will be assessed to the tour participant after this time.

Quoted tour rates include clean and safe hotel lodgings, based on double-occupancy. Cameroon Safari does its best to provide air conditioning, but due to local conditions, there can be no guarantee.

b. Meals

Quoted tour rates include a welcome dinner, and breakfast and lunch daily. When making your reservation, please advise us of specific dietary requirements in order to discuss accommodations.

c. Baggage

Due to flight restrictions within Africa, strict luggage restrictions apply; included in the quoted tour rates is the transportation and handling of one piece of luggage per person, up to 20 kg (44 pounds). Luggage and personal effects are at owner's risk throughout the tour.

d. Transportation

Each tour participant is required to arrange his or her own transportation to and from Yaoundé, Cameroon. Each tour participant must arrive at the predetermined location, Yaoundé International Airport (NSI), on the tour start date. Delayed arrival will severely impact your tour, increase your costs, and potentially result in cancellation of the tour.

All internal Cameroon flights and tour-scheduled transportation (e.g. private safari off-road vehicle, taxis, motorbike taxis, trains, buses, etc.) are included in the quoted tour rates. These transportations are arranged by the tour operator and subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier with whom you travel, some of which may limit liability. These transportations are also subject to operational decisions which may result in cancellation, delays or diversions, over which Cameroon Safari has no control and for which Cameroon Safari accepts no liability whatsoever.

e. Taxes

The tour program includes lodging taxes as imposed by local governments, entrance park fees, and airport taxes for flights within Africa. International airport taxes are not included.

f. Not Included

The cost of obtaining passports, visas, travel insurance, items of a personal nature (e.g. laundry, drinks, communication, etc.), travel to and from Yaoundé, Cameroon, international airport taxes, deviations from the tour, and gratuities are not included in the quoted tour price. Please note that gratuities are not standard in Cameroon.

Each tour participant will need a valid passport (valid for at least six months after the return date). It is of the utmost importance that you thoroughly check your visa requirements, as Cameroon Safari is not responsible for failure by a tour participant to conform to Cameroon entry requirements. It is each tour participant’s responsibility to ensure passports, visas, travel permits, vaccination certificates, or other required documentation are obtained, current and in order.
